I would like to explain a little bit more about what exactly I am planning to do in Israel. The principal idea is to generate and collect data for my PhD. My aim is to lead 15 to 20 interviews, and to look at libraries and newspaper archives. The general aim is to try and get as objective a picture as possible of the way in which water is understood and talked about.
In addition to this, I will be working for the Israel/Palestine Center for Research and Information (IPCRI). They have been working in the water and environment field in Israel for over 10 years, and have their own water and environment programme, lead by Robin Twite, who joined IPCRI after his retirement as a representative of the British Council.
