For those of you who are interested, here you can listen to an interview that was broadcasted on SWR 2 on the water issue both in the current Lebanon crisis and in general. The file includes the whole show (in German), the interview is roughly in the middle.
On a different note, and quite unlike this blog, really, I would like to recommend a movie. George Clooney's Good Night, and Good Luck about famous journalist Ed Murrow who had the courage to face Senator McCarthy in a fight that was not at all a sure win in the 50s is highly recommended. A lot of the things that were an issue back then, like censorship, influence of the media, particularly television, and the fact that accusation is not proof, are at the forefront of the news right now, regardless whether it's about Lebanon, Muslim extremists, the war on Iraq or any fact we do not hear much about and have to rely on so-called "reliable" sources for. It is up to us to look if there is something uncomfortable to know.
